Multimedia News Content Creator Wanted at VR&C Marketing (SwitSalone.com)

Vickie Remoe & Company (VR&C Marketing) is hiring two Multimedia News Content Creators to serve as the editorial backbone for SwitSalone.com, while also supporting PR and communications work across VR&C's broader client portfolio.

This is a role built for someone equally comfortable writing a feature article, scripting a short-form video, and conducting an on-camera interview, genuinely versatile media work rather than a narrow specialty.

Key Details

There are two job openings available right now. These are full-time positions, which means you'll be working a regular schedule. One thing to keep in mind is that there's no specific deadline to apply, so don't wait - it's a good idea to send in your application as soon as you can. This way, you can get your foot in the door and increase your chances of getting hired.

Eligibility Requirements

  • To be a good fit for this role, you'll need to have a solid track record in journalism, media production, creating digital content, or handling corporate PR. It's essential to have excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • You should also be comfortable using video editing tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Final Cut.
  • Being at ease in front of the camera is crucial, and you should have experience with both field and studio interviews.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially when dealing with breaking news or live events, is also vital.
  • In short, if you're a skilled storyteller with strong technical skills and the confidence to work in a fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you.
  • You'll need to be able to think on your feet, adapt quickly to changing situations, and consistently deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.

What the Role Involves

This job is all about creating content for SwitSalone.com, including writing news and feature articles, as well as making short videos for social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

You'll be doing a lot of different things, like researching and pitching ideas, drafting and publishing articles, and filming and editing videos. But that's not all - you'll also be conducting interviews, covering local events, and helping with PR campaigns.

This means you'll be writing press releases and doing other communications work to support the company's clients. It's a pretty varied role, and you'll need to be comfortable with writing, video production, and communicating with people in different ways.

Whether it's writing an article, filming a video, or covering a live event, you'll be expected to produce high-quality content and help the company's clients get their message out there.

Application Process

  • Prepare your CV, portfolio, or showreel, including writing, video, or photography samples
  • Submit everything to Augustine at augustine@vrmcmarketing.com
  • Apply for the job through the official careers website at careers.sl

Should You Apply?

This job is perfect for someone who is good at lots of different things like writing, making videos, and covering live events. You should be comfortable switching between these tasks and have some experience in PR or corporate communications.

If you only know how to do one thing, this might not be the best fit for you, since you'll need to be able to write, make videos, and be on camera all at the same time.
